Our founders, Michael and Marilyn Stopka, created Design Toscano in 1990, inspired by the beauty and history of Europe. While on a trip to Paris, the Stopkas first saw the marvelous carvings of gargoyles and water spouts at Notre Dame Cathedral. Inspired by the mystery of these pieces, they decided to introduce the world of Medieval gargoyles to America in 1993.

Since then, our product line has grown to include other period pieces from all around the world. Our classic Greek & Roman, Egyptian, Asian, Exotic and Tropical style masterpieces, as well as new exclusive designs, have become customer favorites through the years.
